Our client is a world-renowned high-quality European scientific/analytical instrument manufacturer that sells and services its products into the food processing and agricultural markets; especially dairy, meat processing, feed and forage, wine and grain. Based in Melbourne, this key sales role, will cover both SA and WA.

In your new role you will be the primary point of contact for existing customers and new prospects. You will drive business development through the identification of product applications within customers' operations and the presentation of solutions that solve analytical challenges, improve product quality and save customers' money. You can sell both technically and commercially. Your contact points will be diverse. You will need to be able to communicate well with laboratory personnel, plant operators, purchasing staff and company owners.

The ideal candidate will likely have technical qualification in science, food technology or similar and a commercial go-getter mindset. You will have hands-on experience in one or more of the industries mentioned above. You are well-organised and able to work well both independently in the field and within a team environment. Substantial travel will be a part of the position. You are both resilient and persistent, but above all you are enthusiastic and looking for a long-term career in a global company.
